We’re honored to have Rebecca Rogo @rebecca_rogo teaching INCLUDE seminars at this year’s festival!

Rebecca Rogo is the founder and director of INCLUDE, a program that provides adaptive dance classes and sensory-friendly performances to individuals with disabilities and their families.

INCLUDE Seminar for Artistic Directors and Staff:
This seminar provides a more in-depth look at INCLUDE classes with class materials, procedures, and guides for classroom management. Artistic Directors and Staff will also be provided the tools necessary to establish their own INCLUDE adaptive dance classes and sensory-friendly performances.

INCLUDE Seminar for Dancers:
This seminar trains dancers to become INCLUDE Dance Partners, who serve as assistants and supporters to dance students with disabilities. Dancers will receive the necessary information and learn a variety of strategies and tools to be successful Dance Partners in the INCLUDE Program.

We are thrilled to have Christopher Compton @christopherbcompton teaching ballet at our 2024 Festival.

An accomplished dancer, choreographer, and educator, Christopher performed principal roles in acclaimed works by Twyla Tharp and George Balanchine, including with the prestigious Pennsylvania Ballet and Koresh Dance Company. He is currently an Assistant Professor of Ballet at the University of Arizona School of Dance.

We’re thrilled to announce that Derek Reid will be teaching Ballet at the festival!

Derek Reid, Professor of Dance, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the table. With a B.F.A in Dance Performance from Butler University and an MA in Organizational Leadership and Development from Gonzaga University, Derek’s journey in dance has taken him across the globe. From the Louisville Ballet to the Dance Theatre of Harlem, Derek’s professional career has been nothing short of remarkable, with leading roles in works by renowned choreographers like Choo San Goh, William Forsythe, and Jiri Kylian.

Derek’s passion for dance led him to become Associate Dean of Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access at Butler University’s Jordan College of the Arts. His commitment to building a diverse and inclusive community within the arts is truly inspiring, and we’re honored to have him as part of our festival lineup.
